Sauron's Severed Finger with One Ring / The Lord Of The Rings Screen captures and museum costume photos were used for reference. Main finger portion was sculpted using Sculpy modeling compound. Armor parts and etching surface detail were then added to main finger section. Entire finger was scaled to 7 inches, to scale with Sauron's oversized body. After molding and casting the finger in resin, castings were then painted in a 4 coat process with weathering and charred detailing. The oversized "One Ring" was machined from solid brass and gold plated and polished. Rock base with plaque was then created to portray the grounds of Mordor to display the prop.
