Rocket Pack / The Rocketeer The base of the rocketpack was made from cardboard tubing and sheet. This base was then covered in paper mache and sealed with a layer of paper clay. The paper clay was then used to cover and sculpt the remainder of the jetpacks features. Once the shape was refined and sanded smooth, it was sealed with a laquer coat of automotive paint. The bottom rockets were installed and movable exhaust flaps were made from sintra, along with the many vents and small fins. A wearing harness was made from styrene and vinyl with adjustable buckles. Since the pack was made hollow using extremely lightweight materials, the total weight was under 15 pounds.
